SO WHO ARE THEY LOOKING FOR?
This is an opportunity for a NZ Registered Nurse with current or recent ward-based Hospital experience, who enjoys attention to detail and variety in their daily work, to commence a Monday-Friday 40 hour week role.
- Orientation and on the job training will be provided
- You will be part of a team of research nurses liaising with internal and external stakeholders which includes trial participants, DHB service departments, research sponsors and external vendors
- You will review trial protocols, liaise with the trial Investigators, recruit participants for clinical trials by assessing their medical history, assist in the informed consent process, coordinate research clinic appointments and all protocol required activities
- You are a participant advocate at all times and will also provide continuing support and education to your participants
- As a research nurse you will provide mentoring to colleagues as appropriate and actively support the other team members
- The role encompasses a mixture of phone/data/administration (80%) and face-to-face trial participant contact in an outpatient clinic setting (20%)
WOULD I QUALIFY TO JOIN THE CREW?
- Are you a NZ Registered Nurse with a current APC and a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience working in acute-based general hospital wards within NZ
- Do you possess fantastic problem solving skills and able to 'think outside the square'?
- Would you have previous research experience? (it's not essential - but would be valued)
- Have you got excellent oral and written communication skills?
- Do you have the ability to manage pressure well to meet various trial-required deadlines?
- And finally, are you a PC Savvy? Because a computer will be your main tool in this role!
