Staples Rodway Hawkes Bay belongs to a nation-wide network of chartered accountancy firms. Based in Hastings and locally owned and operated, our team of five directors and approximately 40 professionals and support staff have a tremendous resource of knowledge and experience in accounting, HR and providing valuable business advice to a range of clients.

The role

Our business is growing and we have an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Administrator within our Business Advisory Services team. The primary focus of this role will be working with clients and will involve:

  • Timely and accurate end-to-end processing of client payrolls
  • Data-entry and maintenance of employee details
  • Responding to any payroll related enquiries from our clients
  • Preparing and processing their accounts payable and receivable
  • Preparing GST returns
  • Managing various monthly reconciliations.

What do we want from you?

You will have previous payroll experience, preferably having used MYOB or IMS Payroll. It would be an advantage to have used time recording software such as Laurenka. You must be organised and disciplined in your approach to work. You will demonstrate accuracy and have an exceptional eye for detail, be comfortable working in the digital environment and have the ability to liaise with people across all levels of the business with a positive manner.
