The new face of Nursing is not face to face… We are looking for registered nurses with experience in acute/primary care or triage assessment to join our innovative Teletriage Nurse Team. This RN position is like no other that you've ever worked in before.
This is a dynamic role using your strong clinical assessment skills and the latest technologies to receive incoming telephone calls and provide medical advice for the condition presented over the phone within the scope of the role and in accordance with our protocols.
THE ROLE?
- Providing triage assessment to acutely unwell service users using our clinical support software
- Identify emergent situations and assess the appropriate level of care over the phone
- Comply with nursing codes of conduct and best practice
- Respect patient confidentiality, privacy and individual needs
- Work collaboratively with other health professionals such as making referrals to on-call doctors, mental health services and health providers

WHAT WE'LL NEED FROM YOU
To carry out this role effectively, you'll need:
- To be a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate
- NZRGON, Dip.CpN or BHS Nursing
- Background in general nursing with 3 years' post-registration experience and two or more years' experience in acute care, primary care or triage assessment
- Great listening and exceptional communication skills
- Confidence to work with innovative technology, tools, and resources
- Focus on meeting KPI's/targets within our clinical framework
- Cultural sensitivity.
- Positive attitude with ability to remain calm under pressure
SOUND LIKE YOU?
We are currently looking for full and part time (0.6 FTE or more) Teletriage Nurses based at our Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin offices. We also have a limited number of work from home positions available.
Our next intake starts on Monday, 20 August 2018 where you will be able to commit to two full time weeks of training in Auckland.
