Cancer Trials New Zealand (CTNZ) was set up to improve health and other outcomes for New Zealand by providing a national resource to facilitate clinical research in cancer.
The primary focus of the group is to encourage and support investigator initiated oncology trials. As the capacity of the trial centre increases, more early phase/ translational projects will be instigated in collaboration with the New Zealand and international biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. The group is also exploring linkages with initiatives such as rare tumour registries, pathology repositories, and national clinical databases.
CTNZ sits within the University of Auckland's Discipline of Oncology, which is part of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, a comprehensive health and medical faculty offering a range of professional programmes and hosting a number of research centres and clusters.
The role
Cancer Trials New Zealand has an exciting new post for a Clinical Trials Data Manager to manage all aspects of data management within our team:
- You will take responsibility for the development of databases using MS Info path and the ALEA electronic data capture software
- You will also oversee the clinical trial data management processes across all clinical trials and studies within CTNZ
Who are we looking for?:
- You must have a degree, or equivalent, in health information management, computer science or similar
- You will need to have experience of data management, preferably within the clinical trials environment and knowledge of electronic data capture systems
- You should be highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail
- You will have excellent communication and presentation skills, and be able to liaise with individuals at all levels
