The Role

Reporting to the CFO, you will provide right hand support to the General Manager of the Transport division supporting business operations and commercial strategy. This will include:

• Financial Planning and analysis on the Transport business to identify areas of business improvement and streamlining reporting;
• Insight and recommendations to the General Manager on product and services that can be enhanced, changed or consolidated;
• Developing tools and presenting on findings to assist the GM with decision making;
• Identifying areas of risk and opportunities through scenario modelling, business case presentations and round table discussions;
• Commercial contract review including pricing recommendations;

  
The Person

We are ideally looking for a someone that has a strong foundation of technical financial knowledge and holds a professional qualification in Accounting. What’s more important however is that you are commercially minded and know how to interpret the numbers to tell a story to guide the business around key decisions. Previous experience in transport, logistics and / or 3PL is essential.
