The Role: What This Opportunity's All About

This role is working 0.8 FTE with possibility of full time, Mon - Fri and selected public holidays. Opening hours are 0730 - 1830 covering 3 shifts 0730 - 1600, 0830 - 1700 and 1000 - 1830

In the Medical Day Unit, we specialise in the care and support of medical patients from a variety of specialties, including Oncology and Haematology. Some of our patients are cared for pre and post procedures, while others receive their full treatment as day cases in the unit.

Motivated and organised, your mature outlook will allow you to practice with a high level of autonomy in the nurse led care we deliver. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will enable you to engage with a wide range of patients and their family/ whanau. You will be committed to providing a consistently high standard of patient care.

Skills & Experience

  • Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and APC.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused.
  • Committed to providing a consistently high standard of patient care
  • Haematology/ Oncology experience would be an advantage it is not essential.
