The Auckland Bioengineering Institute (ABI) is a unique partnership between scientists, engineers, clinicians and the community. Established in 2001, the Institute excels in world-class bioengineering research carried out by cross-faculty research teams, alongside clinical collaborators in the Auckland region. The ABI is located within The University of Auckland, New Zealand's largest provider of medical, engineering and biomedical research, and ranked as one of the top 100 universities in the world.
The Implantable Devices Group at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute has an opportunity to employ an Engineer to assist with the fabrication and testing of medical devices.
The core responsibilities of this role include the following:
- The development of precision test systems
- Designing test equipment which meets stringent accuracy requirements
- The Analysis of test data and the operation of lab equipment for microscale fabrication
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Experience writing software (Labview preferred)
- Experience in the operation of test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes etc
- A Bachelor of Engineering in electrical engineering, mechatronics or related fields
- Ideally, two to five years' experience in a precision engineering or measurement is preferred
