As one of Government's larger regulators, Regulatory Services aims to minimise harm and maximise benefits through effective oversight of three key regulatory systems; anti-money laundering and countering financing of terrorism, gambling, and digital safety. We are a responsive risk-based regulator that wants to maximise the impact that good communication can have on our regulated sectors so that we achieve desired outcomes for New Zealand communities.
We are looking for a Lead Advisor - Strategic Engagement position who will be responsible for promoting and championing excellent engagement to support our work as a modern and responsive regulator. This will include developing strategies and approaches to guide and support managers and staff to successfully engage with impact internally and with a diverse range of external partners and key stakeholders across our regulatory systems.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience in a senior engagement or communications role
- Successful experience in developing and implementing engagement strategies, frameworks and approaches
- An understanding of a regulatory environment and associated engagement challenges
- The ability to think strategically beyond immediate issues and consider long term and broader implications
- The ability to identify and develop innovative approaches to engagement to support business change
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship management and networking skills
