The Earthquake Commission (EQC) is a Crown entity with key responsibilities to provide insurance solutions for residential property in accordance with the Earthquake Commission Act 1993. As a leader for a risk aware New Zealand we facilitate research and education about matters relevant to natural disaster damage and its mitigation, and pride ourselves on having a highly engaged and adaptable workforce.
As the Senior Auditor you will work closely with the Manager Audit within our Risk and Assurance team and with our co-source partner. You will assist with the development of audit programs and lead delivery of audits in the audit plan and other ad hoc reviews. You will also support other EQC managers with the best practice framework of audit and risk management guidelines, methodologies and tools.
We are looking for someone who wants to be an active and positive member of the team while being highly engaged in proactively looking for opportunities to improve EQC's operations.

To be considered for this role you will need:
- Solid experience as a senior internal auditor together with a relevant professional qualification such as CA, CIA or CISA
- Deep and demonstrable knowledge of internal audit frameworks, techniques, tools and software, and will be able to use these to deliver audits within specified timeframes and scope
- Experience that includes leading internal audits across a range of business functions, ideally including IT audits
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to flex your style to adapt to your audience
- A proven track record of credibility, integrity and professionalism
