The Auckland Regional Forensic Psychiatry Service, or the Mason Clinic as it is often known, is the largest Forensic Mental Health Service in New Zealand. We serve the four Northern District Health Boards including all courts in the Northern region and four prisons.

 

We deliver a comprehensive range of Forensic Mental Health Services, including secure inpatient acute and rehabilitation services which connect to community rehabilitation programmes, services for offenders with an intellectual disability and culturally sensitive programmes for Maori. Court liaison and prison mental health services, including a regional service to Northland Region Corrections Facility at Ngawha and Northland are also provided.

This position is responsible for the provision of cleaning, orderly and meal serving at appropriate times at the Mason Clinic. This means you would be meeting a variety of people as you would be interacting with both staff and service users. We are looking for an individual that fosters an environment where patients and staff feel supported and valued. 


At times you may also be required to drive manual vehicles, so a current full drivers licence is essential. Previous health related experience will be an advantage. We require a fit and energetic person, who must be available to work rotating shifts from 7.00am to 3.30pm over a seven day period.
