Do you have outstanding customer service skills you can bring to a changing industry? Hamilton City Libraries have a full-time Team Leader position available at Chartwell Library, and this could be your chance to use those skills to make a real difference to the wider community.Hamilton’s libraries provide a range of services and activities that go far beyond simply lending books. They’re a place for communities to gather, share information, work together and read recreationally, as well as participate in the wider online world.
To excel in this role, you need a high level of understanding of service quality within a community service environment and knowledge of translating community needs into service delivery. You will have the knowledge and experience to coach and support staff in our day-to-day operations, and be future-oriented to participate in future library developments. Your community and stakeholder engagement skills will ensure the Chartwell library is promoted and utilised as much as possible.
You’ll be able to relate to and work with a huge variety of people from all walks of life. As an important customer-facing position, this role requires someone who remains calm under pressure, has experience dealing with and resolving conflict situations and someone who demonstrates strong resilience.
You will have strong leadership skills, enjoy diversity, be an excellent communicator, have strong technology skills, enjoy working with children, and you genuinely care about providing exceptional customer service. Ideally, you’ll have recent customer service experience in a Team Leader role, and be confident thinking on your feet and responding in a professional way at all times.

This position offers a starting salary of $80,000 and is negotiable for the right candidate.
