We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Content Writer to join the University Business School Communications and Marketing team and be responsible for providing engaging, dynamic and authentic digital, print and multimedia content that effectively showcases the faculty’s teaching, research and departmental offerings and activities to multiple audiences.

Reporting to the Marketing Content Manager, this hands-on role will see you;

  • Research, write, edit and proof read for digital and print publications and promotional material
  • Write and coordinate material for internal communications, including faculty newsletters
  • Work with the faculty events team to ensure all faculty events to create high quality content to promote and support events
  • Support the faculty web content plans through the creation and maintenance of effective content for the faculty websites
  • Improve web-marketing initiatives and content using creative content writing, search engine friendly copywriting, proofreading, and editing
  • Stay abreast of University and current industry standards and techniques to ensure faculty communications remain fit-for-purpose
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service through reliable, efficient and accurate execution of service deliverables

Skills and Experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Experience with writing for social media, copywriting and web content coordination
  • Strong capabilities with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with publishing web content via a content management system (AEM preferred)
  • Excellent written English
  • Proven success in writing for a variety of audiences
  • Understanding of the New Zealand tertiary education sector would be preferred
