ACC is going through a digital transformation where you will be part of the team that will drive the online user experience for our customers here at ACC. We're currently on the pursuit for a Product Owner to join our Digital Channels team based in our Wellington Head office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer evangelist who wants to make a tangible difference to people’s lives. You’ll own the delivery for our digital provider offerings, including the development of self-service, and be responsible for ensuring these deliver the desired business and customer outcomes. You will be an integral part of our Product team and work with the wider business to deliver these unique digital experiences for our customers.

In this role you'll:
• Elaborate on the product vision and work in collaboration with the Product Manager
• Be the face of the business within the delivery team representing the business in all aspects of the product.
• Ensure the products are intuitive to use and improve efficiency for our diverse range of customers.
• You’ll be a fantastic communicator with the ability to make rapid, on-the-spot decisions to carve the path for the team.
• Ask the right questions and have the ability to take your team on the journey of understanding and delivering the outcomes relevant to the wider context.
• Be responsible for the customer centric and agile development of our public and private, professional and consumer API services
• Migrate high-level user stories provided by our user experience or architecture team into a simple, concise and obvious user experience
• Create and prioritise own and stakeholder's user stories, organising stand up's, the scrum process and sprint meetings
• Owning and developing the feature roadmap for the end to end user journey
• Ensure market & business fit and delivery by linking product features to the overall business case and a clear go to market strategy
• Working very iteratively with the dev team in a fast-paced environment
• Responsible for the go-to market strategy, in team with product marketing


You’ll have:
• Experience delivering amazing digital products.
• Energy, drive and enthusiasm for excellent results.
• A pragmatic approach, so you balance the best product management practice, with entrepreneurial nous.
• Excellent communication skills combined with a collaborative working style.
• Ability to successfully manage a diverse range of stakeholders, at varying levels of seniority/knowledge, both inside and outside the organisation.
• A customer-centric mind-set, focusing on delivering the best possible outcomes for our customers.
• Experience in managing agile and interdisciplinary development teams - preferably using scrum.
• Experience in developing API products for professional and consumer cases.
• Hold strong experience in UX/UI principles, A/B testing, user research, and making data driven decisions.
• First experience with the technology stack for connected devices and supporting platforms is a plus.
• First experience in development of conversational and/or voice applications desirable as a plus.
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams of front & back end developers, user researcher, designers as well as central support functions
• Showcase a passion for building products that make a measurable difference to the customer
