We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who has a good understanding of government and or regulatory processes and has the ability and desire to lead and motivate a group of passionate professionals
We are looking for an energetic Manager to lead our Inshore Fisheries Central Team, one of three regional inshore teams reporting to the manager of inshore fisheries.
Your responsibility will be to create and lead a high performing team focused on achieving its goals and those of fisheries New Zealand.
Fisheries New Zealand is a new business unit established within the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) to drive a stronger focus on managing New Zealand's valuable fisheries resources and their place in the wider marine environment.
Future focused, we are currently amid a transformative programme to evolve the way we manage our fisheries using new technology and approaches - this is an exciting time to join Fisheries New Zealand.
Key Skills / Educational Requirements
- Have a desire and capability to build a high performing team
- Leadership and/or management skills and experience
- Knowledge of strategic and business planning processes.
- Be output and delivery focused
