Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to supporting and driving business planning processes and reporting across the Service Delivery Operations branch?
- Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who thrives on meeting deadlines, and understands the importance of getting the details right
- We are looking for someone experienced in business planning and accountability reporting in the government sector and/or
- has an in-depth knowledge of the Service Delivery and Operations branch within the Department of Internal Affairs

At the Service Delivery and Operations branch, we are the face of DIA. Whether we’re helping to register births, deaths or marriages, or assisting in passport applications, community grants or civil union and name change registrations, we’re dedicated to serving the needs of New Zealanders.
The purpose of the Advisor, Planning and Performance role is to:
- Support the Service Delivery and Operations Leadership Team to achieve its strategic objectives, specifically through the coordination of business planning and reporting.
- Coordinate and maintain branch business planning
- Coordinate the development of content across the branch for input into key departmental strategic and accountability documents
- Develop reports and presentations that reflect the great work that is happening in the branch
We are looking to appoint an advisor who can demonstrate:
- Sound problem solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- An attention to detail and the ability to develop reports, presentations, and work plans
