We are seeking a dynamic, proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our Māori and Pacific Admission Scheme team,in a student support role for Māori and Pacific students.

This exciting role is responsible for coordinating academic and pastoral support for Māori and Pacific students who are studying in either foundation, undergraduate or postgraduate programmes within the Faculty of Medical and Health Science. You will be responsible for the administration, management and coordination of admission, academic, and pastoral support for our students.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking somebody who can:

  • understand the issues Māori and Pacific students face while studying at university
  • understand the University and tertiary sector framework
  • relate to Māori and Pacific students and their needs
  • collaborate and work in partnership with key academic staff
  • be flexible and able to work occasional evenings and weekends.

We envisage you will have an undergraduate degree, with well rounded administrative skills. You'll be an expert communicator, adept at forming effective professional relationships.

Naturally, your organisational and time management skills will be first class, lending themselves well to your ability to coordinate and manage events.

You will also be highly adaptable, enabling you to work independently as well as you work as part of a team.
