The opportunity
People and Performance look after Auckland Council’s greatest asset – our people. A combination of Human Resource Management and Digital & Transformation; we are responsible for developing and implementing a strategic framework that links people initiatives to key organisational goals. We create initiatives that support the development of a productive, positive and constructive organisational culture, promote health and safety, and support the various business improvement initiatives and the management of change that results from these.
This internship programme is a unique opportunity to gain exposure and experience in the dynamic field of Human Resources within a team focused on achieving our vision – For Auckland to be a world-class city.
About you
To be eligible to apply, you must have the following:
- Be eligible to work in New Zealand.
- Be available to work full-time between November 2018 and February 2019.
- Be in your penultimate year of studies towards a relevant qualification.
Our 2018 People and Performance Internship Programme welcomes students studying towards a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as human resources, arts, computer science, business, project management, communications and pscychology.
Applications for the 2019 Auckland Council Intern Programme close on Sunday 29th of July. The online application includes job specific questions to help you show us how awesome you are.
Please note that applications will be reviewed only after the closing date. If you are suitable for the programme, we may have a quick discussion with you, which would take place between the 30th of July and the 10th of August.
