3-6 months - hourly rate contract
Purpose:
To provide strategic, critical thinking and advice on complex issues related to internal and external communications. This role will provide high quality and appropriately framed written communications, manage risk and lead pieces of work as required.
Key responsibilities:
- Assessing and triaging critical papers for government and the Minister.
- Issues management.
- General ‘fire fighting’.
- Provide guidance to junior staff.
Expertise and experience:
- Able to lead substantial pieces of work concurrently.
- Excellent writer who can write to multiple audiences and a range of formats.
- Machinery of government and experience at Ministerial servicing.
- Able to make quick and robust decisions based on knowledge, information and experience.
- Role is similar to that of a Private Secretary.
