Detail information about job Manager, Funding Services. Terms and conditions vacancy

  • Bring your people and process leadership expertise to the arts
  • Key customer service role, managing end-to-end funding services
  • Location can be Wellington or Auckland

Creative New Zealand, the Arts Council of New Zealand Toi Aotearoa, is the national arts development organisation. We support, develop, and advocate for the arts, for the benefit of all New Zealanders.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Manager of our Funding Services team. This team is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to artists, groups and organisations about our funding and development opportunities. This team also runs the ‘engine room’ of our grants processes from pre-application advice through to completion.

As the Manager Funding Services team, your focus will be to:

  • lead the Funding Services team to ensure artists and art organisations receive friendly, efficient and accurate advice about our funding opportunities and processes
  • manage the end-to-end processing of all grants applications, including accurate funding agreements for grants recipients
  • drive continuous improvement in our arts funding service.

To be successful in this role, you must bring:

  • an exceptional track record in managing teams to deliver outstanding customer service
  • demonstrated expertise in managing processes through to completion with efficiency, consistency and attention to detail
  • a collaborative approach to working with other teams in our organisation
  • energy, enthusiasm and drive.

Ideally you’ll have a broad knowledge of New Zealand arts, artists and art organisations, and knowledge of issues affecting Māori and Pasifika artists is highly desirable. Proficiency in tikanga and te reo Māori is an advantage.

This role can be based in either Auckland or Wellington. Team members are based in both locations so some travel will be required.

In return we offer a positive and collaborative working environment, great work/life balance, professional development, and an enviable opportunity to work with and for New Zealand's vibrant arts sector every day.

If this sounds like you, apply online today! For a full job description please visit our website: www.creativenz.govt.nz. Applications close at 12 noon, 1st August 2018.
