The Market Services team empowers and enables the technology solutions which are key to the way the Ministry delivers its services to the public. We are a high performing team delivering high impact outcomes.
We currently have a vacancy for two Senior Business Analysts based in our Stout Street office, Wellington.
Function
Our Business Analysts play a critical role in the success of the Market Services team ensuring we are delivering to the real needs of our stakeholders. Working collaboratively with a very diverse group of business users, ICT and Delivery functions you will have the opportunity to influence the solutions we create and implement for the wider Ministry.
Your Technical Background
As a senior member of the team we are looking for a solid track record in Business Analyst roles.
A breadth of experience in your portfolio would be desirable, including both a variety of technology types - applications and infrastructure - but also across a range of project types, from newly commissioned programmes of work to enhancements in BAU environments.

Your Commercial and Communication Skills
As an experienced BA we will expect you to be able to quickly assess projects and programs, build rapport with your key stakeholders and make a judgement as to how you are going to add value for our business owners.
Your work load will be constant and varied, as we move through of life cycle of programs you will need to be able to keep pace with both the volume, and time pressures, of a high performing team.

Mandatory Requirements
- 8+ years' Experience in a Technology Environment
- Tertiary Qualification
- A Commitment to your Ongoing Professional Development
- Previous Experience in Central Government
- You must have the right to work in NZ
