The opportunity
Our amazing Serious Injury and Disability teams manage claims for people who have had spinal cord injuries, moderate to severe traumatic brain injuries and other severe injuries. Our focus is to help our clients and their families adjust to living with a serious injury. We do this by helping our clients set goals such as living independently and then helping them access the support they need to achieve their goals.
The role is busy and varied with no two days the same - you will definitely be kept on your toes. Your week will include assessing and co-ordination of rehabilitation plans and goal setting with our clients. This also involves working closely with the clients support network including Clinical Practitioners and family. These are life long injuries where your support and guidance will be crucial to the outcomes of your clients.
What we are looking for
You will be a person who has a huge passion for working with people, and you really care about the job you do. You have superior customer service skills where people are at the heart of everything you do. You will have had experience working with people within the disability sector, support services coordination, rehabilitation, or a similar environment.
We also need you to have:
- great communication skills, can relate to a variety of people
- superior time management skills
- the ability to interpret, apply and explain complex legislation
- experience and desire to work as part of a cohesive and supportive team
- excellent decision making skills and the ability to communicate the rationale
- energy, enthusiasm and motivation
- end to end process management skills
- excellent computer and software knowledge.
