We have a vacancy in our Property team for a motivated Projects Advisor. This is a fixed-term role until 30 June 2020 with a focus on project work within the property portfolio work program.
The successful candidate will assist the Property Services Manager to:
- manage the delivery of specific capital expenditure projects within Council's procurement process and available budget
- identify and implement opportunities that enhance or minimize risks for the effective management of Council's property portfolio
- develop and implement strategies to maximize the return on underperforming property assets, including acquisitions, disposals and land exchanges
- manage public land matters including acquisition and disposal, easements, road stoppings, ensuring statutory requirements are met under the Public Works Act, Reserves Act or other legislation as required
- establish and maintain an accurate information database about Council's land holdings
- assist with the development and implementation of an Encroachments policy
- prepare written reports and recommendations to support sign off from Council, the Chief Executive or Group Manager in respect of any property transactions or decisions as required. This may include presenting to Council Meetings or Council briefings.
