Academic Services provides leadership and excellence in academic administration services to internal and external stakeholders. Our services are delivered in partnership with faculties and supported by a customer service and process governance framework.

The main role of the Examinations Manager is to manage, develop and implement systems and processes that support operational priorities in the areas of course data collection, exam paper delivery and results' processing. Under Examinations processes, we also assist students with disabilities, aegrotat and compassionate applications, high performing students and operate the University Scanning Centre.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Operate as a subject matter expert in the areas of examination services, planning and resource management and related processes in relation to current University requirements and future strategic directions
  • Manage and oversee the team's performance in student enquiries via the Student Contact Support Centre queue management system
  • Liaise with the Scheduling Services Manager to plan for technology upgrades, developments and system enhancements to support the University's examination activities
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and direction for professional staff involved within scheduling services roles
  • Maintain excellent stakeholder engagement across the University

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate excellent services delivery, and be able to foster a positive and engaging team atmosphere to ensure staff are enabled to deliver the best service possible.

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Experience in team leadership within a similarly intricate environment (preferably tertiary education)
  • A solid background in managing high volume transactional processes
  • The ability to organise and plan across a variety of simultaneous processes
  • Experience in data analysis and strategic reporting
