Our client is a large well-known organisation, with a strong reputation as a leader of their industry in fire protection. They have been leading this industry for over 100 years in New Zealand and are renown as experts in their field.

They are keen to recruit a switched-on Administrator to join their Central Invoicing team, based in the Onehunga/ Penrose location. The Central invoicing team manages all the invoicing for 14 branches across New Zealand and in this role you will be working to ensure the correct customer invoices are processed into the system.

This role requires a switched-on Administrator to learn the processes and to communicate confidentially with the technicians in the field to ensure accuracy of the documentation recorded. We need someone who will embrace good relationships with the technicians and will enjoy a bit of banter,  as they gather invoicing details if necessary. (Which often it is).

Working in a team of 5, you could describe the role as a mix between Administration, Customer Service and basic Accounts. So, we need someone who has a good blend of communication and administration and can pick up systems with ease and has a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

 This role is offered initially as a 3 month temp contract which may have the possibility to go permanent.

 We need:

  • Excellent keyboard skills, plus intermediate Excel and Word
  • Strong & Confident communication skills 
  • Clear English, both written and verbal (good spelling/grammar)
  • Experience in processing invoices, credit notes, purchase orders is desirable
  • An understanding of how contracts work would be an advantage (Not necessary) 
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, i.e. at end of month
  • Ability to upskill and learn new tasks with ease 
  • Any experience using the systems of Pronto, Xfire, or Astea, or ability to learn new systems.

Overall, we need an experienced Administrator with ‘smarts’ as there are going to be changes within the team and we would like for some new responsibilities to be taken on by the new person.
