About our department
The Clinical Engineering Service (CE) of the Auckland District Health Board (ADHB) is involved in the management and maintenance of clinical equipment in the hospital environment.
About the role
This role is required to assist with the development and management of the Medical Device asset register and to ensure that we have a robust system to identify and maintain network attached medical devices.
The overall purpose of this role is to oversee that the medical devices’ are managed effectively (by ensuring safety, compliance, operational performance, capacity, risk management and implementation of future strategies), as well as deliver an excellent ICT service through proactive development and maintenance programmes.
Cyber Security is an important aspect of this role to ensure that the ADHB network is not comprised as a result of these devices being attached to the network.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have knowledge and skills in the following:
· Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or equivalent
· Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
· Certificate or Diploma in Contract Management
· Experience/Knowledge in Networking, VLANS, Database (Microsoft, SQL)
· Good general computer skills e.g. MS Office products
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong team player
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment
· Highly organised and able to prioritize tasks
· Accuracy is essential for data entry into Asset Management Database
· High energy of integrity combined with energy and drive
· Cultural awareness and the ability to adhere to the principles of ADHB/ Treaty of Waitangi
· A positive “ can-do” attitude, work with integrity
· Have a commitment to customers and build a positive relationship with them
· A good level of physical fitness
· Good command of English language
