Our client, a nationwide food processing company is looking a trade qualified maintenance fitter to join their Northland site in Dargaville due to our client's productivity and manufacturing demands.

In this interesting role you will be responsible for carrying out plant and machinery maintenance, running repairs on machinery and the overhaul of light and heavy industrial equipment. As a Shift Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the plant's production machinery and general industrial equipment on site. In this fast moving environment, you'll need to be able to hit the ground running.

To be suitable for this position you will need to display the following skills:
• Mechanical Trade qualified
• Strong amount of hands on experience in industrial maintenance
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and other fast moving manufacturing equipment
• A variety of skills in fitting, turning, welding and fabrication
• Specific experience in the food, dairy, pharmaceutical or other related industries is highly regarded. Manufacturing experience is absolutely essential.

This is a shift based position and you would work on a 4 on 4 off rotating basis.
