The New Zealand marine industry is one of the biggest and best in the world and in the build-up to the America’s Cup, there are fantastic opportunities to be involved with many exciting projects. Hall Spars is looking for composites engineers to join our Auckland based team.
Hall Spars have an international reputation for manufacturing quality masts, booms and battens for all breeds of yacht.
Essential skills:
- Mechanical and structural design experience in the sailing industry
- Composites structural engineering experience
- Experience working with AutoCAD and Solidworks
What you will be doing:
- Designing carbon fibre masts, booms and battens for some of the world’s fastest race yachts and most luxury superyachts
- Solving complex engineering problems
- Creating laminate schedules for carbon fibre manufacturing
- Working in the design office of one of the world’s best carbon fibre manufacturing plants
- Starting immediately
