About the role

You'll have the opportunity to perform hands on testing and analysis of items that range from individual parts to complete appliances, and from current products to new technologies. Typically you'll be multi-tasking across a range of projects, potentially across multiple product groups, engaging with Chief Engineers, Procurement and our Manufacturing sites.

This is a varied and interesting role covering refrigeration, rangehoods, cooking, dishwashing and laundry appliances; including the total testing process of determination of requirements, design, planning, execution, interpretation and investigation of results, and reporting. This includes designing and fabricating test rigs, which often include electrical and pneumatic controls and equipment, integrating a variety of instrumentation, and operating these rigs to perform the tests.

Our environment is designed to enable people to thrive. Our culture is one in which our engineers can constantly develop, whilst working alongside a team of talented and skilled engineers. At Fisher & Paykel you will have opportunities for genuine technical development within a global organisation.

What we require

As this is a graduate role, you will be in your final year of study towards a relevant Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in Engineering or Material Science (Mechanical, Engineering Science or Mechatronics) or will have graduated within the last 2 years.

As part of your application, please ensure that you attach a covering letter, CV and a copy of your academic transcript. We are particularly interested in understanding what University papers you are studying and have completed, previous work experiences you have had along with your hobbies and interests.

What we offer

A comprehensive training programme, collaborative team based culture, a challenging and supportive work environment, career development and an opportunity to work with leading technology. Also on offer is a competitive salary, superannuation scheme, student loan quick pay scheme and much more!
