Geotechnical Engineer
Madison is partnering up with one of Waikato’s fastest growing Engineering Consultancy firm. They provide professional services and independent expertise in engineering, Geo science and related areas to governments, industries, developers and construction firms.
This role will see you involved in slope stability analysis, foundation, pavement & retaining wall design, earthworks supervision and computer modelling. You will be developing and securing future projects and business, cultivating projects from their inception through to completion. You will utilize your wide-spread and highly comprehensive technical aptitude and play an integral role within the team. The role will give you scope and the opportunity to grow the division
The business is located in Cambridge, close to some of New Zealand's major international attractions like Hobbiton, Waitomo Caves, Hamilton Gardens, Taupo, Raglan and the sunny Bay of Plenty with plenty of unique local attractions, events, dining options and a friendly, relaxed town ambience.
The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:?
- Industry relevant bachelor’s degree or higher
- Currently a member of IPENZ or qualify to apply
- 5+ years’ experience in geotechnical projects within NZ
- Extensive experience in liquefaction analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional technical and analytical capabilities
- Effective and efficient planning experience
- High level of commercial awareness
