THE BRIEF

It is an obvious pathway that a good Principal sooner or later would get the potential of equity. As you know this can also be “La La land” as it is projected in the distant and undefined future.

In this particular case, my brief is to source the next Director.  So after acclimatising, you have the potential to take charge of sizeable portfolios and business, and demonstrate to the current solid Directors that you are competent to be part of these Directors valuable succession plan.

Bringing across your expertise in structures, preferably mid to high-rise, plus your ability to run and push teams further, would make you a sought after candidate for initial consideration; Hiring the ‘future director’ profile is however paramount.

THE BRAND

You would hold a CPEng and have solid seismic experience  This successful brand in engineering has offices in both in the North and South Island, so you'll be involved across mid to high rise builds. The team in the mid-tier is sizeable, with some highly talented Engineers, senior engineers, plus designers and admin.  A team who continue to provide effective delivery to a large client base of well-known developers.

So, after ‘landing’ here, take on the responsibility of signing off on projects. Currently work in progress is on mainly 10 to 20 Storey builds of residential and commercial aspects.

THE FUTURE

At interview level the succession plan will be transparent and metrics of acceptable KPI's will be presented.
