Working for one of NZ's largest and successful integrated facilities services businesses, this role will provide challenge, complexity and variety and requires an impressive individual equipped with strong leadership traits and top notch planning, organisational and administrative skills.
Envisage your day filled with accountabilities including:
• Facilities management & delivering to operational contracts
• Leading, developing & mentoring a large team
• Managing relationships with various sub-contractors
• Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance & engineering activities
• Asset management & up to date life cycle maintenance plans
• Financial and operational reporting
• Procurement of materials
• Managing an effective 24/7 emergency coverage
• Consistent focus & drive for service excellence & improvement initiatives
Our client is open to a broad range of backgrounds; however, the ideal candidate will have operated in a similar capacity with experience in building or trades services, project management and exposure to auditing of building maintenance activities. An electrical or mechanical background with exposure to asset management would be an advantage. P&L accountability combined with effective analysis skills is ideal, as is strong OH&S experience. Naturally you'll be people focused with highly effective interpersonal skills and be well versed at driving successful teams and outcomes in a demanding and challenging environment.
Only 1 hour 40 minutes from Whanganui and 1 hour 30 from Taupo, Waiouru boasts spectacular views of the eastern slopes of Mount Ruapehu and Mount Tongariro.
