Well established in the water/wastewater treatment sector, our client organisation is going from strength to strength. With projects throughout Australasia and the Pacific they are known for their quality and ability to deliver. Due to their success and number of projects in process and pending they need to appoint an experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager with specific experience in the water treatment facilities and upgrades.
This is a very ‘hands on’ role where key to successful project management will be the understanding of all commercial and mechanical aspects of all projects undertaken as well as the leadership of the site team. It is expected that the role will have a significant amount of travel. There will be interaction within the project team, but also with estimation and the fabrication workshop. The Project Manager will be responsible for all onsite activities including management of contractors and company staff. Onsite health and safety will be a key component of this role.
To be considered for this exciting new role you will possess the following skills and attributes.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant Engineering sector with strong Project Management experience running multiple projects ideally within the Water /Wastewater treatment sector.
- Able to prepare and structure work schedule and commissioning plans. Knowledge and experience in contract documentation including FIDIC, NEC and 3910.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget. Strong financial acumen.
- Skills and experience in managing staff, client and subcontractor relationships.
- General construction skills a broad knowledge of construction activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in Microsoft Office and MS Project, as well as strong Documentation, Project Reporting skills.
- Design and CAD skills, estimating and procurement experience.
- Strong QA and Health and Safety knowledge.
