The primary responsibilities for this position will include:
Drive improvement in cost reduction, yield and OEE capability at the Pacific Steel Rolling Mill Team
To identify the opportunities for yield, cost, throughput and OEE improvement through use of process data and sound communication skills with the Rolling Mill Team.
To drive a systematic process for prioritizing improvement work aligned with the business purpose
To deliver priority improvement projects.
To support the Production Superintendent in the delivery of the Rolling Mill outputs.
Applicants should preferably have:
A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or science or NZCE.
Previous experience with either Operations or Maintenance in a plant environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead a project to completion.
High Initiative.
Good team working skills.
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Drive for results.
An uncompromising attitude to safety.
This is a day position, but applicants will be expected to work outside normal hours from time to time.
