Our client established their New Zealand owned company in 2004 and are designers and manufacturers of world class commercial and residential furniture. Reporting directly to the Business Manager, this pivotal role within the organisation is responsible for leading the operations & production process within an already successful organisation. You’ll be required to work with the internal teams and external suppliers to ensure all elements within the production process are delivered in full, and on time. While your day to day tasks will vary, your key responsibilities will include people management, building and maintaining schedules, leading daily production meetings, quality control, supplier management and warehouse organisation. Effectively, you’ll manage multiple priorities at all times including the manufacturing of components and coordinating the assembly and installation of completed products, as well as identifying opportunities and establishing procedures for continuous business process improvement.
To secure this role you’ll need New Zealand experience in a similar styled production based role. You’ll have experience leading a team, and be familiar with working end to end in a multi-component production & assembly process that includes external suppliers. You’ll need a good understanding of all aspects of the supply chain. You’ll be a "big picture" thinker who also has an eye for detail and can demonstrate an unrelenting drive to streamline processes to deliver greater efficiencies.
