Located in beautiful Ohakune, Central North Island, WPI Pulpmill, is a leading manufacturer of mechanical market pulp in Asia Pacific.
About the role
As the Draftsperson you will assist the Manager Process Safety, Support and Projects to deliver high-quality solutions and results. This role will see you:
- Walking the plant to mark-up amendments to existing drawings and equipment lists.
- Updating process and instrumentation drawings
- Updating location drawings and site plans (mill maps)
- Updating electrical / mechanical drawings
- Preparation of supporting documentation
- Assistance with other tasks including gap analysis, continuous improvement (projects) and procedure development
To be successful in this role you will possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external clients along with your team.

Skills and experience
Ideally applicants for these positions require the following but we will consider other relevant skills or experience:
- A relevant trade or tertiary qualification essential (Electrical engineering would be an advantage)
- 5 + years' experience in the use of Autocad or similar essential
- 3D solid modelling, while not a requirement, would be an advantage
- Process/ production/ project engineering experience in manufacturing environment
- Effective self-management and planning skills, being able to co-ordinate multiple priorities
- Attention to detail
- Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in use of maintenance tools i.e. Maximo, MS Project
- Experience using Sharepoint for document management advantageous
