Scott Machinery is a leading importer and distributor of engineering machinery and machine tools. We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic member to join the Christchurch team.

This exciting new role requires someone who has a good understanding of engineering machinery and accessories, can gather specifications, process data accurately, and is a quick learner and self-starter.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

• Improving the presentation and information to be presented to our customers
• Data Entry into our advanced software and website systems
• Customer service/relations
• Preparation and presentation of quotations
• Closing sales and processing customer orders

The successful applicant will have the following skills and attributes:

• Can easily grasp technical concepts
• Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal
• Be personable and able to communicate with customers in a customer service role
• Product visual presentation is important, so some marketing experience will be an advantage

This job requires someone with great attention to detail who is quick to learn. It is a challenging role demanding a clear thinking and highly organised person with a positive can-do attitude.
