Our company operates from a busy factory and the role will expose the successful candidate to a broad range of work such as hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, general servicing of plant and machinery, machine rebuilds, building maintenance, new equipment installations and commissioning, and potentially design and build projects.

This hands-on role, working alongside our Senior Maintenance Engineer and our Toolroom staff will require you to interact with all personnel within the business and be an essential part of the team that keep the company going.

To be successful in this role you will have :

  • A National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering , Engineering or Advanced Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering and NCEA Level 2 English, Maths and Science
  • Previous experience in a mechanical maintenance role in an industrial setting.
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics

  • Proven ability to accurately follow instructions and drawings
  • Mechanical aptitude and a process oriented-approach
  • A practical nature
  • The ability to lift safely
  • A willingness to commit to company health and safety and quality systems

Previous experience in the plastics manufacturing industry would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided for specialised equipment.  You must be fit and healthy and able to work standing for periods of time and you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test.

We offer a competitive hourly rate and an opportunity to work with a supportive team and a great local company.
