The Company has a number of exciting projects in progress and more are about to be launched. With this in mind we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Project Manager to join our Projects Team, who are collectively responsible for the planning and execution of capital projects across Open Country’s four sites. This role reports to the Group Projects Manager and will ideally be based at our manufacturing site in Waharoa.
As the Project Manager, you will effectively run end-to-end processes for business project delivery as well as managing suppliers and resources; ensuring project delivery is timely and accurate. This includes accurate forecasting and financial accruals. You will be required to investigate, undertake, and coordinate feasibility studies and present business case studies for potential capital projects. Staff and contractor health and safety management is of the utmost importance and will be a key priority of this role.
The ideal incumbent
- To ensure your success, you will have at least 5 years Project Management experience, coupled with exceptional planning, governance, and budgeting skills.
- A relevant tertiary qualification or relevant dairy industry experience at a senior level are an advantage.
- As Project Manager, you are an adept communicator with effective relationship building skills.
- You will be a natural collaborator with internal teams and vendors, able to influence key stakeholders as well as providing frequent reporting of project status and changes.
- Good time management and the ability to perform under pressure are a must.
- Being self-driven, having a can-do attitude and being a good culture fit to our high-performance team will be considered key attributes.
