Electrical Safety Testing Engineer
Spectrum Laboratories Ltd., is a 30-year old internationally accredited laboratory specialising in the independent safety testing of electrical appliances and light industrial equipment. Located on the world-class Highbrook Business Park in East Tamaki, Auckland, we supply testing, calibration & consultation services to top international companies, and have a strong reputation in the marketplace.
The Role
For immediate start, we require an Electrical Safety Test Engineer to join our dedicated team of professionals, to test electrical products against international standards.
The role will see you having exposure to many different types of electrical appliances and equipment, often new tech being introduced into the NZ marketplace. Working with a lot of different electrical safety standards, (60950, 60335, 61558, 60745, 61010 or 60598) the role provides a continued variety, in both electrical and electronic hardware and software systems. The role should lead the successful candidate to gain International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) signatory status and progressive career path with Spectrum.
About You
Likely a graduate of an Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar discipline, with some relevant work experience, you are a detail-oriented individual, you will have strong theoretical and practical skills, in fault finding (hardware and software environments). With a commitment to safety, you would show initiative and ability to work independently and in a team environment as the job requires. You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as communications with the clients are expected.
