Currently
As a Senior Civil Engineer working in one of the top tier companies, you get access to big projects which looks good on your CV but the career progression promised is just not eventuating.
Potential
You could probably benefit from a more rewarding existence in a smaller firm. Whilst the projects won’t be large scale, your input will be seen and used, your value will be appreciated and you will likely get a quicker leg up to management.
Leadership
If you are interested in building other engineers careers below you, making decisions about projects you work on and given free reign on how your team is run, this could be the role for you.
Projects range from small residential developments, larger subdivisions, local council infrastructure works, water and stormwater. Ability to stay hands on from design to completion and delegate work accordingly.
Key Role
With 20 staff, this would be a key role in the structure of this ambitious boutique consultancy in Auckland. Reporting directly to the owner will biuld on your future equity options and the chance to be a shareholder, which is generally not on offer in larger firms.
You?
This role is not for everyone, it would require an entrepreneurial spirit, someone with confidence in winning over clients and passion to drive the growth of a fairly new team.
Civil Engineering Degree, 8 years experience in the industry and ready to take the next big jump in your career.
