Their products are regularly rated amongst the best in their field.     The Opportunity You will be working within a small, high calibre in-house electrical and automation team.   The role will be wide and varied, encompassing the A-Z of electrical / automation from the practical task of wiring to developing CAD drawings through to design and procurement   The scope of the role is dependent on the skill set of the individual but at the very least you need to be able to complete the practical electrical activities and have sufficient experience and smarts to handle the programming associated with the automation.   Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will have a number of  but not necessarily all the following  attributes :
  • An appropriate Electrical qualification, either trade or tertiary.
  • Experience in electrical design, purchasing, and commissioning.
  • Understanding of motor drive & servo systems, hydraulic and pneumatic control. 
  • Proven problem solving, fault finding and debugging skills of automated production machinery - Equipment utilisation and efficiency
  • Ability to interpret, write and develop PLC code
  • Electrical fault finding / Machinery troubleshooting skills.
  • Manufacturing automation experience.
  • Willingness to learn  and undertake CAD drawings using ePlan.
  • Ideally exposure to an R&D and/or Manufacturing engineering environment.
  • Electrical registration would be a plus.
