Design and Estimating Engineer

We have an opportunity for a design and estimating engineer from a Geotechnical background to join a growing business that specialises in delivering complex and challenging construction projects.

To be successful in this position you will require:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering
• At least 3 years relevant industry experience- ideally in contracting but you may come from a consulting background wanting to move into the contracting space.
• A background in piling foundations and geotechnical engineering for civil/building structures
• Experience in pricing design & build tenders, estimating & use of estimating software.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• A good base of site experience

About the role:

• Working closely with the technical manager you will, estimate & prepare prices for tenders, use estimating software, provide solutions and design assistance for tenders and projects
• With an aspect of business development also required in the role your goal will be to develop solutions which promote the strengths and capabilities of the company to win work.
•  This role will also include liaising with and visiting clients for business development.
