This successful business with a very good share of Auckland's Street Lighting and Traffic Signals work has an opportunity for a Senior Electrician or Electrical Engineer with Contracts Management or Project Management Experience, to run the Electrical Contracting side of the business.
The primary duties will include building a strong relationship with the clients, implementing quality assurance systems; keeping constant oversight of the workload and effective deployment of the team of Electricians; setting standards and driving quality in workmanship; managing and improving processes, procedures systems and policies to ensure efficient running of the department. The product of your success in the role will be that high work volumes are completed by the team and that it's clearly and logically billed, keeping the client happy, paying promptly and renewing the contract when it rolls around.
The right person will not just be a registered electrician and able to sign off on work but will also demonstrate very good administrative, people-management, relationship management, business, financial and strategic thinking skills. You may have come from either a Business Management/Ownership background or a senior position in an electrical contracting firm.
This position will have you functioning as a member of the Senior Management Team for this 100+ staff company and will stretch and grow you as the company expands operations and adds new geographical operations and capabilities.
