About The Role
The Senior Modeller we are looking for will come with at least 5 years hydraulic modelling experience, preferably in stormwater and using Innovyze ICM.
In this role you will be developing and maintaining hydrological/hydraulic models primarily for stormwater, but also for water supply and wastewater to:
- Assess network system performance and identify network issues and flood risks
- Assist with strategic network planning and issue identification
- Option modelling
- Flood hazard mapping
- Assist with development control
- Lead hydrologic/hydraulic projects for other teams and stakeholders and ensure peer review is undertaken for modelling work which has been outsourced to 3rd parties.
You will need:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (for example Engineering or Science)
- Hydraulic or hydrological modelling experience
- An ability to be an innovative thinker with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- An ability to explain technical modelling issues and techniques to non-modelling professionals
- Substantial experience of developing preferably Stormwater models, but also for water supply and wastewater
- Ensure level of detail of modelling is appropriate for the task required and models are fit for purpose
- Project Management skills
- Experience in using your considerable expertise to coach and mentor other staff, assist with consultants and providing constructive peer review
