Kirk Roberts Consulting Engineers is a multi-discipline engineering company with over 100 employees providing Structural, Geotechnical, Civil and Environmental Engineering Services, plus Project Management and Architectural Services to a range of clients across New Zealand, from our offices in Christchurch, Auckland and Tauranga.  At Kirk Roberts the heart of our business is innovation and finding a better way is why we exist.  Our company was founded to challenge the norm and push boundaries, so we can bring our clients advanced engineering & project management solutions that drive efficiencies.

Leveraging off the success of Kirk Roberts, the Projects Team was established 2 years ago to participate in various industry sectors, with current projects ranging from $10m to $60m in contract value throughout New Zealand.  Not being the typical project management conveyancing company, the KR Projects Team participate throughout the project lifecycle and have a wide range of skills and experience from commercial and project development, property valuation, quantity surveying and estimating, through to project and construction management. 

Due to impressive growth and some exciting projects on the go needing more resources, we are now seeking an Intermediate Project Manager to join the Projects Team.  Reporting to the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for producing high quality deliverables, working in a full project delivery space within a fast-paced environment.  The role is an essential part of our business and you will have multiple internal and external stakeholders to manage, including the design team, consultants, customers, contractors and councils.

A tertiary qualification in project management or similar is desirable, but not essential if you have 8-10 years of relevant experience in commercial or civil construction, with the knowledge to complete the required commercial aspects of the project team.

To achieve in this role, you will need to be fast thinking, proactive, committed, willing to learn and driven to achieve results. You will have excellent planning, organising and time management skills, plus a high level of commercial acumen and a track record of delivering complex projects.  You will be an exceptional communicator who can facilitate team performance and be able to work effectively and efficiently with a wide range of people to ensure deadlines are achieved.  You understand the importance of completing project administration and documentation requirements and have a track record of doing this well.
