Specifi, our Software branch, develops custom software solutions for the New Zealand building industry.
An exciting opportunity exists for an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join the Specifi team which is on the cusp of releasing revolutionary residential engineering software to the market.
Reporting to the National Software Manager, you will work on a range of structural engineering projects, with a key focus on residential engineering and the use of Specifi software to provide fast and professional solutions. Interested in both engineering and software, you will work with the software programming team to define requirements that will drive the ongoing development of the software, plus you will lead and mentor junior staff in all areas of residential design. You will have a customer service focus to enable you to support your clients using Specifi software.
With a tertiary qualification such as BE (Hons) or similar, you will hold CPEng or be working towards it. You will have at least 3 years’ structural engineering experience with a solid understanding of engineering first principles and a proven knowledge of NZ building codes. You will enjoy learning and working as part of a team as well as providing exceptional customer service. A high level of initiative and innovative ideas, plus exceptional communication skills will also be your strengths.
