We require a competent and motivated Structural Manager for our Auckland Office.  The purpose of this role is to track and monitor the workload within the Engineering team, ensuring ongoing development of team members and for monitoring and addressing cultural issues within the team.  The candidate should enjoy mentoring and guiding staff, whilst also demonstrating an ability to analyse technical designs and provide solutions to complex problems and review high level technical designs.  The position may have 6 to 10 direct reports including staff capable of leading projects.

We are looking for a Structural Manager with sound knowledge and experience.

The ideal candidate requires:

  • Proven Management skills in people, financial and project knowledge
  • Engineering degree accredited by IPENZ and recognised as meeting the initial academic requirements for professional engineers i.e Washington accord - equivalent degree
  • Be aware of and can apply relevant industry codes and standards
  • Excellent skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning and organising
  • Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and Managers
  • Ability to lead multiple project teams
  • Ability to actively participate within a team
