In today’s competitive market, effective maintenance planning and scheduling makes a significant contribution toward the achievement of manufacturing excellence and ultimately profitability. With existing maintenance systems and processes embedded in this business, Ballance are seeking a proactive Maintenance Planner Lead who has proven success in improved resource optimisation, quality, H&S, plant / equipment utilisation and cost conformance.

The Role
  
There is a large focus on equipment reliability and so you will be heavily involved in achieving the manufacturing unit’s outcomes by providing clear and effective work plans. You manage a team responsible for planning routine maintenance of the plant.  You will also be responsible for the development of the maintenance and reliability of the plants, leading a Continuous Improvement culture in the planning department. Ensuring effective strategies are aimed at meeting the requirements of all planned shuts, maintenance activities and outcomes are done so in a timely, cost effective and efficient manner.
  

Skills & Experience

• The successful candidate must demonstrate advanced maintenance planning and scheduling systems skills with knowledge
• Have a mechanical qualification with exposure to heavy industrial plant and machinery
• Practical problem solving, data analysis and fault-finding experience
• Proven and effective leadership of others in a preventive maintenance environment
• Industrial site experience        
• Planning operational maintenance functions and supporting world’s best maintenance practice in parallel with significant cultural changes
