Senior / Associate Structural Engineer

This national Engineering practice are market leaders in structural engineering and offer clients a wide range of services including new build design, alterations, strengthening and retro fitting buildings. They work on a wide range of projects across New Zealand that include, commercial, industrial, residential and heritage buildings.

The business currently has a new opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to take a lead role based in their Wellington office. You will join a high performing business and will be responsible for front end design and leading technical teams across complex project delivery. You will work closely with the NZ leadership team on the strategic direction of the business and will play a key role in building their capabilities across the Wellington region.

Key attributes sought in the appointee include:

• A background in structural engineering projects aligned with new build and alterations for commercial, residential and industrial buildings.
• Familiarity with NZ design codes and best practices and preferably CPEng qualified.
• Leadership experience mentoring engineers to achieve project delivery time scales and assist with technical analysis and guidance.
• The desire to design and lead multiple projects and interlink with the other offices to collaborate on projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the confidence to help deliver project work and network across the region to support the management team with client development.
• Ability to multi-task at an operational level while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
