An exciting opportunity has become available with our PNG client to lead the electrical department sales strategy and develop key business relationships as a sales professional. This role is perfect for an electrical engineer or trade professional with experience on the wholesale side of operations, with a passion for sales and business development.
Our client
A long-term and leading supplier of industrial electrical equipment, this organisation works with some of the largest names in Papua New Guinea.
In this unique role, you would utilise your technical knowledge and first-hand electrical product experience to drive sales, in addition to providing vital product education and follow up support to customers. Your day-to-day would include:
- Planning, developing and executing sales and business development strategies to obtain and retain new business;
- Liaising with key customers, consulting engineers and end users to improve customer experiences;
- Driving sales targets and profit-oriented growth across the department;
- Attending trade shows, conferences and programs to network with potential customers and improve product knowledge;
- Creating key sales plans and performance goals based on your sales forecasts and market research
This residential role is based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, however will require frequent travel across the country.
You would play a key role in the organisation’s next stage of growth, and be rewarded for your expertise through a competitive remuneration package and access to some of the country’s top executives.

- Experience in B2B sales (5+ years) in a technical environment;
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical products (through a background in electrical engineering or similar electrical trade profession);
- Outstanding presentation, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Extremely self-motivated, reliable and capable of working in a small team or autonomously;
